The Vampire - or how do you like your stake?
A single 8mm frame from a long lost film which will have been disposed of years ago by LEGS Art Dept.

It was filmed by the L6 Film making group (an optional group within the General Studies course run by Mr Forster). It was made in the summer term of 1970. The film was called “The Vampire- or how do you like your stake?”.

It was filmed at school, in St Lawrence’s churchyard, and in the ‘Fox Covert’ (aka Foxy) by the canal in West Park. The plot was straight forward. A vampire is on the loose, finds some victims, is hunted down and destroyed with a stake through the heart with lots of tomato ketchup. I don’t think it would have troubled BAFTA that year.

I edited the film and kept this one frame. The quality is not bad considering that it is enlarged from 8mm. It looks as if it was filmed by the Art block:

From L to R: Mary Kublicki (not sure of the spelling), Heico Hanford, half hidden is, I think, David Beeby?, then Dave Marshall (Later
Head Boy and well known musician), Dave Harris, Andy Kerr (who played the vampire), Mick Gilbert, Gwen Ellis.
