SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY OR SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY FIELD TRIP - July 1968. (on the coach returning home - almost certainly a Bartons ) Phil Roberts and Steph Cope. Just what is Phil holding? Photo from David Wardell. From Stephen Ford: Sorry John, probably not a Barton's. Depot Coaches (later Co-operative Coaches) were the Geography department's usual choice, including two week-long Geography field trips which I attended - 1965 to Swanage (566WVO driver Colin Walker) and 1966 to Scarborough (567WVO driver Bill Webster) - two identical Bedfords, driven by two totally different people! The operation was originally based at Depot Corner, Chilwell, but under Co-op ownership moved to the corner of Derby Road and Fletcher Street, Long Eaton.
